1. Check the assignment instructions

Confirm the file format, paper size, filename and upload limit from your lecturer or learning portal. A4 is common, but follow your course requirements.

2. Keep the original Word file

Save a clearly named .docx before converting. Save an older .doc as .docx first. Keep the source so you can make corrections later.

3. Open Word to PDF

Open Office to PDF, choose Word and add your .docx. Colour options and limits appear in the tool. Office conversion accepts up to 100 files, 20 MB per file and 250 MB combined input.

4. Convert and review

Run the conversion and open the PDF. Check the cover, tables, images, equations, page numbers and page breaks. Complex Word elements can differ from the original.

5. Check before submitting

Make sure every page is present and legible. If specialist formatting is not preserved, export a PDF from the original Word application and review it again. Download with the required filename.

6. Submit the final copy

Reopen the downloaded PDF before uploading it to your portal. Check the deadline and confirm the correct file was selected. OfficeToPDF does not submit assignments on your behalf.
